Can you hear it? Over the raucous Jazz, and clinking of cocktail glasses? It’s the sound of luxury. It’s decadent, and it’s wonderful darling.
Each piece is made from laser cut and layered resin, hand assembled, hand painted and released in limited quantities. As all of our designs are lovingly glued, assembled and painted by hand there can be finger print marks and very slight variations and blemishes from piece to piece. Due to the hand mixed nature of the resins in our designs it is also common and normal to find tiny flecks or bubbles in the resin layers. All in all this just makes each piece as special and unique as you are.
PLEASE NOTE: in 2019 the pins used by ERSTWILDER were plated with sterling silver and are very prone to tarnishing. I will endeavor to wipe away any tarnish from old stock and include a complimentary silver polish cloth with your brooch. Please consider this before purchasing as it is a known issue caused by metal reactions and is beyond my control. I will not be reducing the price of rare pieces due to tarnishing of the silver plated clase or any minor imperfections such as small flecks or bubbles which are clearly described by Erstwilder as normal for handmade resin. I will be including a silver cloth for ongoing care of the clasp.
Brooch clasps, necklace chains and jump rings are made from silver-plated steel. Earrings hooks and posts are made from high quality, hypoallergenic stainless steel.
Please be aware that resin is akin to ceramic and glass and therefore may be damaged if dropped or knocked. Due to the use of high quality silver-plating in our brooch clasps, tarnishing and oxidisation can occur, producing black and gold discolouration. As with all silver products, you can simply restore it using a silver cloth. Keep your Erstwilder companion neatly tucked away in this box when not being worn, avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, water and excessive sunlight and you’ll have a trusted friend for years to come.
